Dear little hummingbird,
why are you moving so quickly?
Fluttering flower to flower
searching
wanting
craving
Your hunger for the nectar,
offered by the earth,
only gives your little wings so much vitality,
distracting you from the morning dew
and evening sun
Don't you know the nectar of life doesn't come from below,
but above?
Dear little hummingbird,
look up towards the sky,
seek the nectar
creating a ravishing hunger anew,
while steadfastly satiating too
